Text Area Simple formatted text COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Parents are required to do temperature checks on swimmers and family members prior to attendance at practices/meets. If your child is sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, do not bring them to practices or meets. Do not come to meets or practice when: Either swimmer or another household member tests positive, follow Quarantine Policy below If swimmer tests positive, follow the COVID-Positive Return Policy below Pending COVID-19 test If COVID test taken due to exposure to COVID Positive person, please follow Quarantine Policy below If COVID test taken with no symptoms and no exposure and test is negative, swimmer can return upon receiving negative test results If COVID test taken due to symptoms, swimmer may not return to swim until symptoms are gone. Close Contact Exposure to any COVID-19 Positive person(s), follow Quarantine Policy below Contact Tracing Capability will be implemented through Daily Attendance by Age Group and by Lane. Social Distancing and Masks Recommended outside of the Pool. Swimmers are to wear masks while both arriving and leaving the pool. Spectators must socially distance from swimmers during swim practice. Expect Minimal Volunteers within Pool Perimeter during both meets and practices. Team will provide Hand Sanitizer for practices and meets. Quarantine Policy: In close contact with COVID-Positive within 6ft for more than 15mins, follow current CDC recommendations. No symptoms or Negative test, return in 10 days – per CDC guidelines *Persons vaccinated do not require Quarantine – per CDC COVID-Positive Return Policy: Doctor’s clearance to return to practice/meets will be required. Following CDC recommendation, return at least 10 days after symptoms have passed and at least 24hrs since last fever without medications. Text Area Simple formatted text Swim Prerequisite In the spirit of COVID safety protocols, this year we are asking for all swimmers to be able to swim 25 yards independently on the FIRST day of practice . This will help both swimmers and coaches to maintain social distance. This approach will also allow swimmers and coaches to focus on swimming techniques and endurance. Text Area Simple formatted text Bad Weather Policy If there is lightning and thunder at the pool, we are required to wait 30 minutes from the last occurrence of lightning/thunder before resuming practice. We usually check the radar during this time and make a decision about the remaining practices of the day. We communicate this one of two ways: by using Remind (text @pfpiranhas to 81010 to sign up) or by e-mail. Text Area Simple formatted text Pflugerville Piranhas The Pflugerville Piranhas is a competitive summer league swim team for kids 5-17 years old. We swim a 10 week season beginning the end of April and finishing up on July 13th. New swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 meters) using any stroke. Practices are in the afternoons until the end of the school year when we switch to morning practices for the remainder of the season. Questions about summer league swim team?
